Constant LORICHON (1800-1855) After Lysippus Hermes reattaching his sandal Charcoal on paper signed and dated 1816 lower right 59 x 42 cm Born in Paris, he was a pupil of François Forster and won the Grand Prix de Rome in 1820. A renowned engraver, he worked notably on the Iconographie Grecque et Romaine and engraved the costumes for the Sacre de Charles X. Provenance: Pierre Passebon Collection
